Manifest

Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use the Manifest app or website. By creating an account you agree to them. Manifest is operated by Joemegz Technologies ("we", "us").

What Manifest does

Manifest lets you record a journey along with your next-of-kin details, and lets transport companies and hotels maintain a list of the people travelling or staying with them. It is a record-keeping tool.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Manifest.
• You are responsible for keeping your PIN private. Anyone with your PIN can see your manifests.
• You must give accurate information. A manifest with false details defeats the purpose of the app and may put you at risk.
• You are responsible for activity that happens on your account.

Information about other people

When you enter next-of-kin details you are giving us another person's information. Please only enter details of someone who is content to be contacted about you, and make sure the details are correct.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Manifest for any unlawful purpose, or to impersonate another person.
• Upload content that is unlawful, offensive, or infringes someone else's rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other users' accounts, or our systems.
• Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the service, or attempt to circumvent its security or rate limits.
• Collect or harvest other users' information.

We may suspend or remove an account that breaches these terms.

Service providers

If you register as a transport company, hotel or other service provider:

• You receive a code that travellers use to add themselves to your manifest.
• You may only use passenger information for managing and accounting for that journey or stay, and you must comply with applicable data-protection law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act.
• You must not use passenger information for marketing or share it with third parties without the traveller's consent.
• Access to service-provider features may require a paid subscription.

Subscriptions and payments

The app is free for travellers. Service-provider features may require a subscription, with the current price shown in the app before you pay. Payments are processed by Paystack; we never see or store your card details.

Subscriptions run for the period stated at the time of purchase. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable once the subscription period has begun. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us and we will look into it.

Availability

We work to keep Manifest available and accurate, but we provide it "as is". We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that records will always be accessible. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your reliance on Manifest as a safety or emergency service, from information you or another user entered incorrectly, or from a service provider's handling of your information.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your use

You may stop using Manifest at any time and delete your account from Settings → Delete account. Deletion is permanent — see our Privacy Policy for what is removed. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or is used unlawfully.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and we will make significant changes clear in the app. Continuing to use Manifest after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
